Due to erosion of the shoreline, beach levels had dropped below the bottom of a plank and pile seawall constructed 20 years ago but still in good condition. This allowed the loss of backfill and potential failure of the seawall.
The solution was to use vinyl sheet piling on the back side of the existing seawall. The new sheet piling is driven 4 - 6 feet below the bottom of the wood wall.
